Strength & Weight Loss

Focus: Core, Upper, Cardio

CORE:

1 min plank

25 double crunches

REPEAT SET 3 TIMES (60 secs rest between sets)

UPPER:

10 bench press OR chest press on ball/ground

10 tricep dips

10 shoulder press

REPEAT SET 6 TIMES (no rest-90 secs rest between sets)

CARDIO:

2 mile run OR 6 mile bike

  1. Can you say multi-task!? I was short on time again today so I did my arm workout using hand weights, WHILE riding my 6 miles on my bike. After I got done with the arm workout, I read my book for book club for the rest of the bike time. Book Club is tonight and I'm not even half way through it.

    Holly, you might want to ask Jen and Ang what is a good 5K time. I walk most of it. I'm not as serious about it as they are! I do it for fun!

    Jen, Salina is warm!:) If you are planning on going through Kanab to someplace warm we will be there for Michael's baseball tournament on March 11 & 12. It would be fun to see you all!

  2. I did the first part of the workout this morning. I was going to run tonight but it just isn't going to happen. The shoulder presses with 15 lb weights killed me. I need these arm workouts!

  3. Hi! I did my 2.16 mile run and zumba this morning with weight lifting on the arms and I even did my crunches. I was thinking about going to women's basketball tonight, I just hate that it is so late at night. I am getting worried that no one is going to be doing the shamrock shuffle, I might need to go somewhere warm too. Holly

  4. I went snowshoeing and then I was going to do the arm workout later and it is way later and I haven't done it so I am going to bed. I did snowshoe with the girls to piano lessons and the trail was quite a bit harder with the slushy snow. 2 hours of snowshoeing- not too shabby.
